So Proud!

My baby is sleeping in his big boy bed for nap time. I snuck in to take a few pictures they did not turn out the best since it is dark in there but I think you should get the point. I am excited, I hope tonight goes just as well we read 3 books in his bed and said ok it nap time now and he talked for about 5 minutes and then all went silent! Yeah buddy mommy and daddy will get you something special at the store tonight for being such a big boy! Yeah!!!!!

Big Boy!?

We have Kaden's big boy bed we ordered one through Babies r us and then a girl from work Megan offered a toddler bed for free to use to us so we took her up on that offer and now sending Kadens other bed back to save us some money. Well we put it together yesterday afternoon and had him sleep in it last night. We talked it up all night and put all his stuff he had from his crib in it and he seemed pretty excited. Well the time came and he did ok for about 10 minutes and then he started crying and saying mamma rock and I said no mommy will just stay in here for awhile well then he cryed daddy rock well daddy rocked him and I took over since I knew Bill wanted to get up early to give himself enough time with the roads ands such so we rocked for awhile and I layed him back in bed and he was fine till 2 am and then I am not sure if he fell out of bed or just got out and could not see but anyhow he started crying again and so I went in and saw him standing by his bed crying and then he saw me and said momma rock and I again said no but mommy will get you a cup of water and lay with you for awhile well I ended up staying in there for the night and he woke up a few times crying but fell back to sleep so a rough night but we will get through this I hope. He is going to sleep in it again for nap time today so maybe no nap today and then early to bed tonight. We are going to FDL tonight to do our Walmart shopping and I want to get some material to make a tractor no sew blanket for a comforter for Kadens new bed to make it more fun and maybe some fun kids sheets for his bed as well. So we will see how that all works out. I work Saturday 1-5 I switched with a gal from work she needed the afternoon off so I worked last Sat. 9-1 this Sat. 1-5 and next Sat. 9-5. So busy next couple of Saturdays. Well that is all for now I think. Oh we had a play date with the neighbor kids yesterday and that was a nice change of pace we went for a walk in the morning and let the kids get some fresh air as well as the adults which I needed and then they came over to play and have lunch. Kaden is not so good and playing with other kids just yet he likes to sit on them while playing he gets a little rough not sure what that is all about but we have to work on that. But it was nice to change things up a bit and get Kaden to play with other kids as well. So hope you all have a nice weekend. It is the start of the Lenten season and I am doing well on my commitment of giving up caffeine for 40 days and nights so that is good. So long for now from the Krapfls

not a whole lot

Not alot going on these days. Just hanging out at home and getting some cleaning done and playing with Kaden. We played hide and seek today and boy does Kaden love that game! He actually comes to find you when you hide which is really fun to watch. He is growing up so fast. No more sippy cups he only drinks out of a big boy cup excepts if we are out somewhere such as church or something like that I will take his sippy cup along but no more sippy cups at home which he thinks is pretty cool and no accidents of spilling either! Good job buddy! This weekend I work Saturday until 1 then Bill and I and Kaden are going to get Bills haircut then on a mission for a bed for him and a dresser for the baby. We are going to ask Art ( Bills dad) if he wants to make one for the baby but his health is not the best so we don't want to force him to make one but we don't want hurt feelings if we at least don't ask if he would want to else we can buy one as well no big deal. So we got our tax money back so now we need to get prepared for the baby and make sure we have what we need for both kids. So we will see what we come up with. I went to toys r us website and they have some really nice beds for under 100.00 for Kaden so I think we might do that. Then my sister and Kam are coming down Saturday for the night and hanging out there so I will get to visit with them again which is always fun. My mom got 2 new recliners for her living room and we have to be nosy and go check those out. And then we are all going to church on Sunday morning which will be intersting with Kam and Kaden both but we will see. And that is our upcoming weekend. Friday night a bunch of us from work are going to the Pizza Ranch in Waupun for a fun night out with the kids so we will see how fun that is. And that should do it from the Krapfls today. Love is in the air

Well Valentines day is here and gone. Bill did not get me anything for Valentines day which is not unusual since he thinks that day is over rated which I agree but a card would be nice but whatever that is what it is. Anyhow we had a nice night. We had steak and potatoe and a salad and corn for supper Kaden was not a fan of the steak! Yummy for me! And then after Kaden went to bed which it was early by 9 he was fast asleep so we could watch our movie "FIREPROOF" and eat popcorn (sorry Kaden no popcorn for you tonight just mommy and daddy). The movie was good the actors and such were not great but the message was AWESOME! I really liked it. It was a Christian based movie which I am not sure Bill liked a whole lot but he said he liked it anyhow. And then about a 1/2 hour left of the movie Kaden got up screaming again so we got him settled down and he finally at midnight went to our bed for the night and I slept on the chair in the living room how romantic!!! :) And then he was up bright at 6:45 ish! YIKES!! I am beat! What am I going to do with a little one again! Oh no!!! Today we just hung out at home which was nice since I had no energy and then after Kaden's nap we went to my parents to visit for a little while and they invited for supper which was nice and we are now home and ready for bed. Well I am not sure about Kaden. Oh Kaden also got 2 fishes for Valentines from Mommy and Daddy and he LOVES them!!! He sits and watches them often which is great! He is good about making sure they are fed and talks to them alot. How cute! Well that has been our weekend and not sure what the week holds but I did all my cleaning this past week and just need to do laundry and do the normal dishes for the week. My mom is off all week so maybe we will do something with her one day this week. I work this Saturday so I don't plan on doing all that much this week then but keep the house picked up and relax. Today

Today we got our new front window! What a difference looking out a nice clear window then a frosty cracked one. I am very excited about that but its the little things that excite me! :) Today Kaden and I had a busy day we had a funeral to attend our old neighbor on Seitz Ave passed away Marvin Spraudau so I wanted to go and pay my respects and they greatly appreciated that. And then we were off to the grocery store my least favorite place to be and had to do shopping poor Bill was all out of soda!! And he also forgot his sandwich so the nice wife I am took him his sandwich and soda so he could make it through the day. The rest of the week looks good Friday we have nothing going on but Saturday is Valentines Day so I am planning a nice evening with Bill and I. I rented a movie " Fireproof" that Bill has no idea about which is ok else he may not want to watch it and then we are having marinated steak and a potatoe and veggies for supper and after Kaden is sleeping we will watch the movie. Hope all goes as planned. Now I also thought I might share something for those of you that do this for Lent we are giving 1 thing up for 40 days and 40 nights and that is talking to each other! Now does that not sound like a great time! How peaceful and fun!!!!! Any comments???............. I am giving up more than this as well. And that is all I have for you today. Happy Birthday Grandma, What a great day

Last night we celebrated my moms b-day. Her birthday is Feb 11th but my sister is unable to come down next weekend so they came down this weekend instead. We wanted to take my mom out for her birthday but she has a cold and was not up to going out so she made supper instead. Tator tot casserole! Yummy!!!! I baked her a birthday cake and the grandkids helped decorate it. Well tryed they were both more interested in the frosting part like eating it than anything else. We made her a calender last weekend while scrapbooking with pictures of the grandkids on each month. We made her one last year as well and she really liked that so we made her one this year and it turned out better than last years! So we visited with them till about 8 then came home for Kadens bath time and night night time. He is still getting up in the middle of the night crying because of the darn 2 year molars that just won't pop through. Poor little guy always has his hands or something in his mouth to help with the pain. But we will get through this we did with his 1 year molars as well those puppies are tough and take FOREVER to come in. So that was our Friday night. Today we played outside. I cleaned the jeep and Kaden played with daddy they built a snowman in the backyard. Daddy did the building and Kaden watched and tryed to kick it over when it was all done. How nice. It is such a nice day out you hate to stay inside. Kaden is napping now then we are going up by Bills parents his sister Kristy is home visiting with Sam so we will stop up there to visit for awhile and then Sunday we are going to Brownsville for a benefit for a friend and neighbor up the road from us that had a kidney transplant so we are going to go to that for a little while on Sunday to give our support to the family. And that will be our weekend. If it is nice again Sunday I want to grill out some burgers so I hope it stays nice like this for awhile. It is great to be outside again. Well that is all for now I am going to take our Christmas decorations down outside and maybe take a little nap before Kaden gets up since Bill is napping also. Help is on the way

So my blog looks funny with the wording well I asked my best friend Kerilyn to help me with this problem so I am waiting for a return email to help fix this funny looking problem. So bear with me till I fix this. Also I am a bad mommy and forgot to put in my last blog that Kaden pooped on the potty again today. He did it Friday for Bill and me today. So we are giving potty training a whirl again full force in February! So I hear people having problems getting their kids to poop on the potty Kaden is fine with that just not peeing yet so we will work on that. Our peditrician said wait till he is 2 &1/2 or 3 but if we can start now and he is willing why not. She just thought summer is the best time with less clothes on but with the baby coming in June we want to get this done before that so stay tuned for updates on the progress.

Hello All! What a great weekend. It started on Friday when Bill and I went for our ultrasound to see the baby! Baby is doing fine and moving alot. We were unable to find out what we were having since the umbillicord (spelling wrong?)was in the way. But we have a pretty good guess which I won't share with all of you but we think we know. Anyhow so my dad came over in the morning to watch Kaden which he slept until 9 and we were home by 9:30 but he had fun anyhow. I would have loved to see his face when Grandpa walked in his home instead of mommy or daddy that would have been priceless! So then after that I was off to my scrapbook weekend with my sister. This was in Eau Claire. We had a really nice time. We did miss our kids like crazy but for the weekend we were ok. Sunday we did get up early and left right after breakfast to get home sooner. It is a 3 1/2 hour trip from Appleton then I had 1 hour drive home on top of that so we had a long drive and we just wanted to get home. Crazy I know but the kids are our world and we missed them lots. Our husbands ok maybe a little as well! :) But anyhow it was fun we got up there Friday around 2 ish and then we started in scrapbooking until 10 that night and tried to sleep but Jen and I stayed up and laughed and talked till midnight and our 2 other roommaates Collette and Sue stayed up till 4 ish scrapbooking! Talk about die hards! Good job ladies!!! :) Then we got up early Saturday and ate and stared scrapbooking again till our massage that was really nice and relaxing and came back to scrapbook some moe and then we sat in the whirlpool tubs they had there as well. We got all our scrapbooking done by 10ish on Saturday night and we just stayed up to watch some tv and relax before bed and had some good entertainment by 2 ladies that has a bit to much to drink and were playing truth or dare! I laughed so hard at those 2 it was great. Saturday was the best day everyone warmed up to each other and we all talked and got along really well and laughed and talked stupid. It was alot of fun and we got alot done. I hope next year will be just as fun I think Jen and I will make this a yearly thing us 2 sisters for the weekend and then I will have my sister-in-law weekend as well that I will be able to enjoy since I was still unde rthe weather with morning sickness for that this year. So I think that was everything I did include pictures more to come we took a group picture and also a picture of our roommates as well I don't have those yet they should be emailed in a few days I think. But a great time we had! the pictures are of Collette and Sue our 2 roommates and also Tonya who set this whole thing up and of course my sister and our work area and then our bedroom as well.
