Goodbye we love you!

Today I had to make one of the hardest choices, to put our beloved dog Gizmo to sleep. He was 15 years old and not hearing well,not seeing well, terrified of Kaden and also having accidents in the house. We adopted Gizmo about 3-4

years ago from a neighbor of ours their parents were moving to a condo and could not take him with. And I being the animal lover that I am gladly took him after a bit of convincing to Bill. He was a great dog. We loved him very much and will always and truly miss him. We believe he had a good long life and he is in a better place now with no more pain and suffering. So Goodbye Gizmo we LOVE AND WILL MISS YOU ALWAYS!!!

time after time

Well... Busy busy we have been. Friday night Bill and I went to the Old Hickory Golf club for the celebration of 25 years for Marshland Pharmacy in Horicon. What a GREAT time we had. Corey and Sheila were kind enough to come over tou our house and watch Kaden. They had a good time together till around 9 ish when Kaden found out mommy and daddy were not there. He cried for awhile and finally fell asleep on Corey and then Bill called to tell him we were going to be later than we had thought and woke Kaden up. So we left the party early to come home and by time we got there Kaden had fallen back to sleep. So thank you very much Corey and Sheila!!!

Saturday... Was my 10 year class reunion. I normally would not have went but my sister talked me into it. Well it turns out she could not make it she had to work so Bill came with me instead. It was an ok time nice to see some of my classmates again. Kaden stayed over night by my parents house which he LOVES to do. He gets so spoiled!!! So that was Saturday.

Sunday.. Bill has his final horseshoe tournament for the year and his team took 2nd place!!! yeah!!!! Kaden had alot of fun playing and eating. Then after Jan and D.W came over and we ordered out pizza and watched the closing ceromony of the olympics which was cool!!!

Monday... We took Granma Z to her doctor appointment to get her stiches out! Which she said hurt ALOT!! She tried lying to me and saying her sister Betty was going to take her but I did not believe her so I called Betty and and found out she was NOT taking my mom. So I showed up to take her a. I learned from the best if you don't believe something investigate to find the truth and I did!!! THANKS MOM!! :) So all is well now she is very relieved to have those out and she goes back to work Sept 2nd for light duty! Then after her appointment we went shopping and out to lunch and I had to work at 3:30.

Tuesday and Wednesday.. Kind of blahhh not much to say

Thursday... I had a cacoon of a caterpillar that Bills sister gave us and it became a butterfly!!! It was sooo cool. So I held it and took some pictures and when it was ready to fly it flew away!! Then I had to work and Bill and Kaden went up by his parents for supper. My mom has called and said my dad was off and they wanted to come and get him to visit with Grandpa Z but we had to share out time so they get him Friday night (tonight) we have to go to FDL to get the oil changed and do some shopping and then we have a wedding tonight so Kaden can spend the afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa!!! So that had been our busy week.

I am looking forward to the long weekend with Bill. Not much planned Sunday we are having a corn roast by my unlces which is always fun and Monday Bill is golfing but other than that just alot of relaxing and just family time!! TGIF!!!

Today I am watching my niece Maddison which is nice Kaden has someone to play with for the day! Yeah!!! So we went to Mayville and went on a nature walk at Ziegler Park which is actually nice. And we went with Tara and Nathan and Addison. Then after that we went to a rummage sale and I found a couple nice things for Kaden for fall and winter and picked up a few things for Kamryn also. So now the kids are napping and I am going to clean up the house since this weekend is busy and no time for cleaning.

Also last night Grandma Krapfl came home from the nurshing home for good we hope this time!! And so we went up there for supper which is my favorite Home made pizzas yummmy!!! And Kaden found a giant sucker that we have trying to hide since our cousins little boys b-day party and anyhow he found it and needed to have some so I gave in and gave it to him and took a few pictures of him eating it. It was HUGE he had a great time tryin to eat it!! So that has been our day. Better get to cleaning. Till next time...........

busy bees

This week has been a busy one hence the reason I have not written. So Monday we took my mom to the doctor to check her finger and make sure it is healing well. And indeed it is. A pretty icky sight though. It is pretty messed up and now the doctor wants her to change her dressing 3 times per week and rewrap it. I have gotten nominated to do that since my mom gets a bit light headed at the sight. So Thursday will be my first day at that and I hope it goes well. I am more worried about hurting her than anything. And then for the rest of the week so far we just went to go visit her and make sure she does not need anything and she is taking it easy. Her work gave her another week before returning to work and she revists the doctor on Monday to take the stiches out and then she has to report to work after with an update to see when she can return. This coming Friday Corey and Shelia are coming here to watch Kaden while Bill and I go to a fish dinner at The Beaver Dam Country club with my boss and co-workers as an appreciation of 25 years of business so that is nice of them and thank you to Corey and Sheila for watching Kaden. Then on Saturday I have my 10 year class reunion and Bill is coming along for that as well so my mom is going to attempt to watch Kaden that night so we can go there for a little while. I hope my mom can handle him with only 1 full working hand! :) So that had been our busy week. Hope all is well with everyone and good night.

what a zoo

What a fun couple of days we have had. We went to the zoo in Greenville near Appleton yesterday with Jen and Kam and Becky and Isaiah. I was a bit scared when I first saw it but it turned out to be a very nice zoo. Just big enough for the kids before they get antsy and crabby. They have a wonderful petting zoo with goats,pigs,Llamas and chickens and baby wolves and all sorts of neat animals for the kids to look at and touch. Kaden does not like the pot belly pigs that were there. At first he was going to give it a kiss then a little girl came up and tryed to pick the pig up and it got madded and sqealed and Kaden freaked out and cryed and yelled momma momma poor thing! So Kaden got a t-shirt from the zoo then we went out to eat at Noodles!!! Yummy!!! And then we went to Joanne frabric which just opened Friday and checked out the store very nice and good sales!!! Then we went to arcivers(scrapbooking store) checked out a few things there and by then all kids had enough and so we went home. Kaden was sleeping by time we left the parking lot! What a Great time!!

Then last night we went out to eat at the pub for fish and chicken Bills sister Kristy is up and so she always likes to treat herself to some Wisconsin fish fry and the pubs is always good! So thanks Art/Grandpa for treating us to a fish fry very good!!! And today Bills mom is coming home for the afternoon to visit so we will be going up there after Kadens nap! Before we went to eat Kaden and his cousin Maddison went for a bike ride together it was soo cute!

My mom is doing ok the mornings are the best for her since she doesn't use her hand while she sleeps so it does not throb so bad in the morning but then of course she has to clean and so forth so then it hurts again by afternoon. Silly women just can't sit still for anything!! Well that is all for now have a great weekend and I will write more when I have more to say!! Good day! Its a fair day

Today was the BIG DAY!!! Kaden got to go to his very first fair!! :) He had a blast as you will see on some of the pictures. Unfortunately my digital camera was full so we had to resort to the old camera so I have to wait to get those developed (bummer) So the good news is Grandma got to go along! She is feeling good today no pain meds needed she is dealing with the pain ok so far. So she loved it she was glad to see Kaden with all the animals. It was really really nice! Jen and Kam did not come :( she wanted to get home since she was gone all week and see did not want to get home too late where Kam would be up all night since Kam likes to sleep on car rides. Kaden was sooo tired from the fair he fell asleep in Horicon and was not happy at all that I woke him up when we got home so he would not be up all night either since Friday is another FUN day. We as you know are going to Appleton to the zoo up there!!! YEAH!!! I can't wait. Bill is going golfing AGAIN! So this will be a fun filled day and weekend I think. I am glad my mom is feeling better she is doing little things here and there to help herself so I hope she will be ok. I am going to the doctor on Monday with her even though she does NOT want me to but I want to hear what the doctor has to say about all this. Well so more about the fair I am jumping all over sorry lots to say today!! Kaden went down a BIG slide with me and loved it we had to go down 2 times he would have went down 110's of times but only 2 and he also picked duckies from a pond and won 2 prizes a football and a plastic blow up hammer with 101 dalmations on it (watch out Gizmo and Dexter) and then of course we ate ALOT! COTTON CANDY !!! :) YEAHH YUMMMMMYYYY!!!!! And Kaden had a hot dog and fries and nachos and did not care for the cotton candy (silly kid) and then a slushy! But all the animals he loved and tractors oh my! He also went on a piny ride which he cried when it was done same with the slide he cried and cried when that was all done. He was having way to much fun but also tired so that was our cue to leave a fun day had by all I think. But we did miss Auntie Jen and Kamryn! Next year foresure you are coming!!!! Get well soon Grandma

Well..... A boring start to the week to finish up with a scary situation. My mom was taken by ambulance Tuesday morning from work with a pretty injured index finger on her right hand. A machine she was working on went hay wire and got her finger with a rivet. It went through her finger and broke 2 bones in her finger and plenty of stitches needed to repair it. She passed out immediatly and that is really all she remembers. I apparently got a phone call of which never happened and so they called her sister that lives in West Bend where my mom works thank goodness someone was with her. I feel terrible that I was not able to be with her when she needed me the most. I guess it was a good thing since I would have been a basket case driving!! So my sister came down Tuesday night to stay with my mom who is now home and make sure she takes care of herself and does NOTHING she is not suppose to do she gets so light headed so fast. A very scary thing!!! So between my sister and me we are taking care of her while my dad is at work at night. So that is good. She is getting a bit crabby with us since we are doing everything and treating her like a baby I guess. Oh well :) So on a lighter note we are planning on going to the fair Thursday with Jen and Kam, Bill and myself and Kaden and if my mom feels up to it she really wants to go with us but we will have to see how she is feeling. Hate for something to happen to her at the fair. And then Friday we are planning on going to Appleton to the zoo up there but all this depends on if my mom is doing ok to be left alone. My dad is off on Friday so he can watch her while we are gone! Kaden does like seeing Grandma this way not able to play with him and such so that is sad. But hopefully she will be feeling better soon. She had a doctors appointment Monday morning to meet with her surgeon which I am going along with so we will see what he says and what the outcome looks like for her as far as healing time and the future of her finger. still here

Yes we are still alive! Just not much going on lately which is a good thing I guess. Kaden is still feeling a little lousy as is Bill but we are dealing with it as best as we can. Today we pulled weeds and Kaden helped and then tonight before Bill left for horseshoes we trimmed the bushes up front that needed some major attention so that feels good to spuce up the yard a bit. Later this week we are planning on going to the Dodge county fair so Kaden can see the farm animals up close and personal and well as TRACTORS!!! OH MY!!! :) So I am looking forward to that and Jen might come down to go as well with Kamryn. A nice way to end the summer since she now has a job outside of being a mommy!!! :) So that is that. Tonight at bath time I was filling the tub for Kaden and he threw ta,ta (his elephant that he LOVES and needs to sleep) into the tub! So we had to put in the dryer to dry and oh dear did he cry and cry!!! I told him he needs to dry and to not throw him in again! All through bath he just cryed ta,ta,ta,! Poor thing I felt bad but he will learn. So that is all I am trying to get Kaden down to bed so I better go tend to that task. Have a great night and I will write again with pictures of the fair!! its tough being sick

Kaden and I have not been up to a whole lot. He is running a temp for the last 2 days and just feeling crummy. So ALOT of cuddle time again is in order. I think he is getting more teeth in and that is causing the discomfort along with a slight cold he has also. I also think I am getting what he has just low energy and headache! YUCKY!!! So we have managed to get out and go to a local park and go on the swings and play a little at least to get him a bit more happy being outside usually works. So not sure what the rest of the week holds for us. I have to work Saturday so I think maybe if Kaden is feeling better he will be spending the night by Grandma Zastrow since Bill is working again. So we will see I hope he feels better soon I hate seeing him down in the dumps I want my happy go lucky baby boy back soon!!! Well that is all for now have a great day!!! Great Weekend

This weekend we had alot of fun! I went to Appleton to scrapbook with my sister and had a good time. I got alot done in a short time. I still have more to do but at least it was a start! Then after that we went shopping at Target to get a few things and then went back to her house and I got to visit with Kamryn which is always fun! And then a surprise Jen and Kam came down home with me to visit Grandma and Grandpa. As you can see in the pictures a good time had by all. My dad just loves having the grandkids over now since he is canning and works nights and long hours he does not see them often. So he enjoyed it. Grandma had fun playing with the kids in the wheelbarrow the kids think that is pretty fun! And Kaden had fun with Grandma and Grandpa all day he got some alone time with them and went for a tractor ride on the BIG tractor down to the woods and then my parents bought a sprinkler and a pool for the kids to play with! They loved it! So a good fun weekend. Now today Bills mom is coming home so we will go visit her for the afternoon after Kaden has a nap. SO take care and good night!

scrapbooking

Today I am going to appleton to visit my sister and scrapbook at her church they have open scrapbooking from 9-3 so I am excited about that I am sooooo far behind on Kaden's scrapbook so hopefully I can get caught up! Kaden is going by grandma and grandpa Zastrow for the day! He has soo much fun over there riding on tractors and playing in the water and just helping out where needed! :) My parents enjoy watching him also they get such a kick out of the crazy things he does. So Bill is working most of the day so that is the reason Kaden is spending time by my parents. Sunday we are going up by Bills parents his mom is coming home for the day last Sunday she did not. So that will be our weekend busy which is nice sometimes. Have a great weekend. Bye for now
